Delinquent Habits totally rocked Sozopol last Friday!

If anyone can remember the previous concert of Delinquent Habits at the already not existing club Blue Box in Sofia with the countless crowd, unbearable heat and the outstanding presence of the band, then you should know that their gig in the sea side town of Sozopol on 8th August went far beyond those memories.

To see and hear one of the founders of the chicano hip hop at the ex-club Teodora, gathered people from all sides of the country, not counting the default tourist visitors (mix Bulgarian and imported). At 8 p.m. crowds were already waiting in front of the club, but the party started around midnight with DJ Vagabond and DJ Rawland. Before the “three delinquents” on stage appeared Bulgarian formations Dog Squad and Dobrite Momcheta (The Good Guys – transl.) to tune the audience to the proper hip hop mood.

Delinquent Habits opened their set in a typical way. Ives El Huero Loco (who besides being part of DH is a professional tattoo artist) and MC Chente (who replaced the founder Kemo the Blaxican before some time) personally placed on stage a table completely covered with tequila bottles and generously treated whoever got to the stage. The first-row-girls got “served” directly from the bottles… can’t say “No” to Chente Loco, you know…

The Americans from Mexican descent blew up the club right from the first song and gave their fans two hours of flawless stage presence, twice coming back for an encore. During the evening besides the unbelievable free styling of Ives and the tracks from the band’s last album “New and Improved”, the audience enjoyed also the greatest DH hits like the obligatory “Tres Delinquentes” and “Return of the Tres” whithout skipping “Here Come the Horns”, “Lower East Side” and “House of the Rising Drum“. While performing Delinquent Habits expressed their respect and gratitude to Cypress Hill and House Of Pain, calling them “the real bands” and urging the fans to listen them more.

The After Party was held in the “Small Tequila” bar in Sozopol, where everyone got a shot of tequila (of course) at entering, and was attended by Delinquent Habits themselves too.
